$100.00

Mint-Condition Original and Authentic Ticket to the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in the area that now encompasses Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry.

The 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition was a transformative dream city of the future that established Chicago as a global cultural powerhouse and a beacon of American ingenuity. Nicknamed the “White City” for its white buildings and grand neoclassical architecture and the dazzling debut of large-scale AC electricity, the fair introduced the world to marvels like the original Ferris wheel and iconic products such as Cracker Jack and the zipper.

While it celebrated monumental progress and sparked the City Beautiful movement, the event was shadowed by the grim exploits of killer H.H. Holmes and ended in tragedy with the mayor's assassination. Though most of the plaster-and-wood structures burned shortly after closing, the fair’s legacy survives through the Museum of Science and Industry and its lasting impact on modern urban design and technology.
